Nutrition and social support ... at a distance.
I have moved my practice to primarily telehealth. Based on mandates, telehealth for medically necessary nutrition services will be covered by insurance companies to the extent that they would have been covered in person. My billing team will verify your insurance benefit before we "meet."
I am accepting new patients for use with a privacy compliant video platform or for phone consultations.
As we all adjust to this "new normal" you may find it beneficial to assess with a compassionate professional on a variety of concerns....
*How your change in routine or food intake is affecting your medical condition.
*Adapting your good plan to the change in food supply.
*Relying more on emotional eating to ease the uncertainty.
*Adjusting your routine or family meal plan based on changes to the school schedule.
I will reassess in-person visits as the social distancing procedures change.
